Overview
Spider Solitaire is a popular variation of the classic Solitaire card game that has been around since the 18th century. The game is played with two decks of cards, and the objective is to clear the table by creating sorted columns in descending order from King to Ace.
Spider Solitaire is a single-player game and is available for free on various platforms, including Google Play Store. So, let’s dive in and learn how to play this challenging yet addictive game.
Gameplay
To start playing Spider Solitaire, you need to set up the game by shuffling the cards and then dealing out ten piles of cards, with four cards in each pile. The first four piles are to be dealt face-down, while the remaining six piles are dealt face-up.
The game begins by flipping the top card in each of the ten piles, which becomes the foundation or tableau. The objective is to create sorted columns in descending order, with same-suited cards added to the same pile. For example, a King of spades can only be placed on an Ace of spades, while a 9 of hearts can only be placed on a 10 of hearts.
